Local Law Enforcement
Around fifty cars have been covered with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's city of Hanau close to Frankfurt, according to police.
Automobiles, building surfaces and postal boxes were marked, occasionally with swastikas, they stated in a release.
Law enforcement report they were contacted during the night on Wednesday, when a individual discovered that a car in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish-hued fluid.
The liquid had been drawn in the pattern of a banned symbol, they reported.
Law enforcement then found numerous other vandalized vehicles and house walls in the adjacent neighborhood.
Nazi symbols are banned in Germany under legislation prohibiting the public exhibition of Nazi symbols.
Officials state initial examinations show the substance was likely human bodily fluid.
"There is still no indication as to where it came from; officials are not yet cognizant of any injuries in connection with the event," they commented.
Municipal representatives said they were working "to solve the incident" and have asked to the community for information.
A high-ranking official stated the attack left him speechless and had to be solved rapidly.
"This event hits the very heart of Hanau and revives the pain of the extremist violent incident half a decade ago," he wrote on online, recalling the murder of nine people by a assailant focusing on individuals of immigrant origin in February 2020.
